M. J. Electric believes in giving back to our community and those less fortunate. We are active in our community and are involved in supporting education, charitable, and non-profit organizations. People Helping People M. J. Electric employees donate money, gifts, and food to the annual “People Helping People” campaign in Iron Mountain, Michigan to benefit the local St. Vincent de Paul Society. Relay for Life Since 1999, M. J. Electric has participated in Relay for Life to benefit the American Cancer Society. Izzo-Mariucci Classic Golf Tournament Since 1998, M. J. Electric has been a major sponsor of the annual Izzo-Mariucci Classic Golf Tournament held at TimberStone golf course and Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Tom Izzo, head coach of Michigan State University men’s basketball program, and Steve Mariucci, NFL Network analyst and former head coach of the National Football League’s San Fransico 49ers and Detroit Lions, are both Iron Mountain natives. The tournament has helped raise millions of dollars for local schools and charities. MTU Scholarships M. J. Electric provides scholarships for electrical engineering students and for the Women and Minorities in Engineering summer program at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan.
