Invest in the Future Scholarship
M. J. Electric is proud to present the 2017 “Invest in the Future” Scholarship to help the development of the electrical construction industry. Each scholarship awards up to a maximum of $4,000 ($1,000 per year for a 4-year program). Two scholarships are awarded annually, one for a student attending Iron Mountain High School and one for a student attending Kingsford High School. This year MJE is proud to present the scholarships to Parker Swartout of Iron Mountain High School and Marcus Maraccini of Kingsford High School. Dave Carlson (MJE Project Manager) presented the scholarship to the Kingsford High School recipient, Marcus Maraccini. Marcus graduated at the top 10% of his class with a 4.056 GPA. He will attend Michigan Technological University and study Computer Engineering. Steve Feira (MJE Vice President Human Resources) presented the scholarship to the Iron Mountain High School recipient, Parker Swartout. Parker graduated with a 3.53 GPA and 1140 SAT score. He will attend Ferris State University and study Engineering. Parker’s Grandfather retired from MJE after 25 years of service.
