Electrical and instrumentation construction at Andeavor’s North Dakota Refinery. Construction includes the demolition of four instruments, installation of instrumentation conduit, wiring, tubing, and loop checks, heat trace panels, two 75 kVA pad-mounted transformers, grounding, 800’ of 1/0 feeders to transformers, 1,500’ of conduit and wire from heat trace panel to 29 power connection kits, 6,000’ of heat trace on piping and instrumentation, and testing of heat trace cable after insulation is installed.
At the North Dakota refinery, Andeavor (formerly Tesoro) plans to retrofit an 8,000-barrel-per-day diesel hydrotreater and associated equipment to co-process renewable feedstock (such as regionally sourced soybean oil and distillers corn oil from ethanol plants) along with regionally sourced Bakken crude oil to produce a 5% renewable diesel blend.
