Arrowhead to Weston Line (Power Up Wisconsin) – Wausau, WI

American Transmission Company – Pewaukee, WI

Construction of a new 220-mile 345 kV transmission line from the Weston Power Plant in Wausau, Wisconsin to the Arrowhead Substation in Duluth, Minnesota. The line significantly improves electric reliability in Northwest Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest. The line links Wisconsin Public Service Corporation with Minnesota Power.

Completed in 2007

Bethel to Norwalk Project – Bethel, CT

Connecticut Light & Power – Hartford, CT

Construction of approximately 10 miles of the 30-mile Bethel to Norwalk Project in southwestern Connecticut. The overhead line portion entailed both new and reconstructed 345 and 115 kV line installation, pole replacements, surveying, right-of-way clearing/access, road construction, foundation installation, and commissioning support. At Norwalk Substation, five lattice structures were removed and partially rebuilt on galvanized double-circuit monopoles.

Completed in 2007

Tittabawassee-HSC#2 138 kV Line – Hemlock, MI

ITCTransmission – Novi, MI

Construction of an 8.5 mile new double circuit 138 kV single-shaft steel pole transmission line from the HSC Substation to the Lawndale tap. This line replaced an existing single circuit 138 kV line on wood poles. The existing circuit remained energized requiring MJE to lean the wood pole circuit to the side to provide line clearance while the new steel poles were installed.

Completed in 2007

Venus to Metonga 115 kV Line – Crandon, WI

American Transmission Company – Pewaukee, WI

Construction included 12 miles of new 115 kV transmission line from Monico to Crandon. The project also included the installation of 121 new steel and wood poles and 90 poles with existing underbuild.

Completed in 2007

Brookfield Bypass – Brookfield, CT

Connecticut Light & Power – Hartford, CT

The highway bypass included the removal of three existing double circuit wood H-frames and replacement with four single-circuit steel poles with foundations. The center structure was eliminated and the conductor elevation was raised for higher clearance.

Completed in 2007

120kV to 230 kV Transmission Line Upgrade – Lapeer, MI

ITCTransmission – Novi, MI

Rebuilt 17 miles of an existing single circuit 120 kV wood H-frame line with double circuit 230 kV steel pole line energized at 120 kV.

Completed in 2006

Plains to Stiles 138 kV Rebuild – Stiles, WI

American Transmission Company – Pewaukee, WI

Upgrading and rebuilding of 69 kV and 138 kV lines from Plains Substation in Quinnesec, MI to Stiles, WI. The 45-mile segment from West Marinette to Amberg, WI was upgraded from 69 kV to 138 kV. A 22-mile 138 kV segment from Amberg to the Plains Substation was rebuilt using a temporary bypass line. After rebuilding the existing line, the temporary line was removed. The 44-mile double circuit 138 kV line from Amberg to Stiles was also rebuilt.

Completed in 2006
