Eco Grove Wind Farm - Lena, IL

Acciona

Construction of 8.17 miles of 138 kV single circuit transmission line wood poles with braced post configuration. This line connects the new connector yard to the existing utility substation. Construction includes more than 60 wind towers producing 100 MW.

Rail Splitter Wind Farm - Boynton, IL

Horizon Wind Energy

Construction of the 100 MW Rail Splitter Wind Farm with 67 1.5 MW GE Turbines. Construction included one high voltage collector substation 34.5 kV - 138 kV and installation of 6.0 miles of 138 kV transmission line on light duty steel structures. This project also includes commission of electrical equipment excluding main step up.

Farmers City Wind Farm - Tarkio, MO

Iberdrola Renewables

Construction of the 146 MW Farmers City Wind Farm with 73-2.0 MW Gamesa Turbines. The project included trenching & installing 45 miles of 34.5 kV URD collection system and installing 6 miles of overhead distribution line. Construction also included 34.5 kV - 345 kV collector substation.

Providence Heights & Crescent Ridge Wind Farm Substations - Tiskilwa, IL

Iberdrola Renewables

Construction of the Iberdola Providence Heights 34.5-138 kV Collector Substation, related underground 35 kV cable collector system, down-tower wiring connections, and the new TSS-981 Crescent Ridge 138 kV Substation for interconnection of the new generation project to ComEd’s system.

Fowler Ridge Interconnect and Collector Substations - Fowler, IN

Northern Alternative Energy

Construction of interconnect and collector substations for 34.5 kV to 345 kV for 40 Clipper C-96 and 182 Vestas V-82 wind turbine generators. The underground collection system and two substations are interconnected to the transmission system through a 25-mile, 345 kV transmission line.

Ashtabula Wind Energy Center - Pillsbury, ND

Otter Tail Power

Construction consisted of 9.5 miles transmission line with a nominal voltage of 230 kV and a nominal capacity of 400 MVA. This line connects to the Minnkota Power Cooperative's Pillsbury 230 kV Substation. Ashtabula Wind Center is the largest North Dakota wind facility to date.

Grand Ridge Wind Energy Center Interconnect Substation - LaSalle, IL

Invenergy LLC

Construction of an interconnect substation for the new Grand Ridge Energy Center. Grand Ridge is a 66 wind turbine electrical generation facility utilizing GE 1.5 MW wind turbine technology.

Elm Creek Wind Farm - Trimont, MN

Iberdrola Renewables

Expansion of the existing 345/34.5 kV substation to handle additional power generated by the 66 GE windmills that make up the Elm Creek Wind Farm project. This substation expansion involved adding a new 345 kV switchyard bay, 34.5 kV to 345 kV transformer, switchgear building, 34.5 kV capacitor bank. This substation was built with room for expansion in the future.

Blue Mound & Twin Groves Transmission Line & Substations - Bloomington, IL

Horizon Wind Energy

Construction of Twin Groves Collector/Step-up Substation Rated 34.5 to 345 kV with single step up transformer plus 34.5 kV switchgear and power factor correction. Project involved construction of Blue Mound Substation and tie to ComEd central Illinois grid at 345 kV. The work included relaying modifications as required on either side of Blue Mound tie point and construction of five miles of single circuit 345 kV transmission line to Blue Mound ComEd interconnect substation.

Camp Grove Wind Farm Transmission Interconnect - Camp Grove, IL

Orion Energy Group

Construction of nine miles of 138 kV, single circuit T-2 conductor that tied into ComEd's Toulon interconnect substation.

32 MW Dispersed Energy Project - Ruthon, MN

Northern Alternative Energy

The project consisted of electrical construction of 46 windmills at four distinct sites. Installation included 46 padmount transformers, 18 miles of 34.5 kV, 3-phase underground power and communication cable, and 7 miles of 34.5 kV 3-phase overhead line construction.

Lake Benton Wind Farm Electrical Installation - Phase II - Lake Benton, MN

Zond Constructors, Inc.

Installation included 143 padmount transformers and elbow terminations, secondary connections, along with 24 miles of underground three-phase 34.5 kV power cables, six-pair communication cable, and fiber optic cable. Overhead line installation associated with the wind farm included 26 miles of three-phase, 34.5 kV line with connections to riser poles. Four interconnect substations were also installed for the wind farm.

Lake Benton Wind Farm Electrical Installation - Phase I - Lake Benton, MN

Zond Constructors, Inc.

Installation included 138 padmount transformers and 23 miles of underground 34.5 kV three-phase power, six-pair communication cable, fiber optic cable placement, and duct bank work. Construction also included three 34.5 kV interconnect substations
