The 138 kV line rebuild included approximately 20 miles of double-circuit conductor as well as installation of OPGW. The conductor was upgraded and the wood poles were replaced with steel monopoles on drilled pier foundations. The pole replacement along with rope and wire pulling activities necessitated road closures and detours that required close coordination with MDOT.
